There’s something for everyone at the Annual Crafts in the Meadow Festival

Posted

Abundant community gatherings in autumn celebrating the changing of the leaves, crisp breezes and cozy times with hot apple cider, warming fires and friends are just around the corner in Bucks County.

An annual Festival for the Arts in its 15th year as Crafts in the Meadow returns on October 18 and 19 to Tyler Park Center for the Arts.  Attendees can expect fine art and craft demonstrations, exceptional works to purchase directly from the artists who created them with a special focus on demonstrations this year.

Visit Makers Row to find artists creating glass torchwork, fine art, basketry, sculpture, blacksmithing, henna tattoos with pottery to match, jewelry, millinery, mishima and painting techniques on clay, jewelry making and sculptural beadwork, encouraging wonder and a chance to open oneself to the magic of creativity.

Experience Golden Thread Labyrinth, kids crafts, face painting, the mathematical maze and Earth Center Pottery Community Sculpture Project.

This highly juried fine art and craft festival presents an outstanding showcase of New Orleans music, past and present highlighted with the inimitable Jamey St. Pierre. Jamey, a native of New Orleans, has been performing his entire life seeking authenticity in New Orleans music, combining soul, R&B, blues and contemporary music in his own compositions and adaptations of others. He will be joined by Gypsy Stew New Orleans in addition to outstanding local talent including the Little Red Rooster Blues Band and Joe Borthwick Band.

Picturesque meadows surrounded by the natural beauty of Tyler State Park welcome visitors to the community-built Cobb Oven and Bench, Large Scale Sculpture Garden and Manabigama wood fired kiln setting the stage for meetings with miniature horses, delicious food and Warwick Farms Beer Garden during this special art infused weekend festival.
