The Jesse W. Soby American Legion Post 148 in Langhorne will sponsor its 11th annual 5K Veteran’s Run/Fun Walk on Saturday, Nov. 7, beginning at 9 a.m. The race will take participants through Langhorne Borough. Registration begins at 8 a.m. at the post, 115 W. Richardson Ave. in Langhorne.
Proceeds from the run will benefit veterans’ charities, including Salute 2 Service, which supports veterans in need; DAV Chapter 85, a nonprofit that provides lifetime support for veterans of all generations; and other veterans’ charities and projects.
All veterans’ charities and projects are carefully selected so that the majority, if not all, of donated funds go directly to veterans, with little or no administrative costs, organizers said.
Those interested in participating in the race or helping spread the word can register at runsignup.com/Race/PA/Langhorne/LanghorneAmericanLegionVeteransDay5K and select the American Legion Veterans Day 5K.
Credit card donations are also accepted through the race registration page by selecting the “Donate” tab.
