Posted

The cool nights of autumn are upon us as we glimpse the months to come of trees in full color and abundant harvests. A very special Crafts in the Meadow Juried Invitational Craft Show at Tyler Park Center for the Arts fits right into the season.

With something new and alluring each year, this 15th annual festival of the arts features the most highly juried artists representing multiple artistic mediums like exquisite jewelry, pottery, fine art, woodworking, glass and fiber.

Delicious food and drink including hot apple cider, espresso drinks, kettle corn, vegan offerings and sumptuous meals along with Warwick Farms Brewing beer garden can be enjoyed while listening to an outstanding showcase of New Orleans music past and present highlighted with acts including the inimitable Jamey St. Pierre.

Jamey, a native of New Orleans, has been performing his entire life for crowds seeking some authenticity. He combines soul, R&B, blues and contemporary music in his own compositions and adaptations of other’s creations.

Little Red Rooster Blues Band, Gypsy Stew New Orleans and others will join in the show. Live demonstrations are expanded this year in the new “Makers Row” where patrons can try their hand at creating fiber art, explore the ancient art of sculpting, observe Tanner Sweeny’s glass torchwork techniques, get a Henna Tattoo with pottery to match, walk the Golden Labyrinth and Maze including musical interludes with Paul Dorsey and his Baroque Ensemble.

Art and music lovers from near and far are making plans to attend on October 18 and 19 where the senses will be saturated with good vibrations all weekend in the heart of Bucks County.
